Our Story

Unrivaled experience and historical perspective

Our History:

One grant can open many doors for an individual, a community, a city—even pave a collective way of being and living. In 1985, Dov Torenberg & Ximena Florez founded MicroEdge and helped one organization do just that.

They developed a program tailored to the Hearst Foundation’s grantmaking needs and in doing so, they pioneered the automation of the giving process. Their vision changed the way grantmaking was done. Since then, MicroEdge has provided countless grantmakers, nationally and internationally, with the tools to simplify the process of giving.
